Description: Make something special just for mom in this drop-off program for children ages 7 and older. Moms will enjoy a special discount in our gift shop on that day! The program runs from 4pm - 5:30pm. Please pre-register by calling 203-259-1598.

Time: 10:00 am
Location: Fairfield Museum and History Center
Description: Nature walks on the Town Green, stories and crafts are all designed to keep fun in bloom! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please pre-register by calling 203-259-1598. Enjoy a fun game of “I Spy Green!” outside, followed by a garden story. Then decorate flower pots and plant a seed to watch it grow all summer long!
Fee: Cost for each program is $5/child for members, $7/child for non-members, free for adults.

Member Preview: Keep ‘Em Coming: World War II Poster Art
Time: 6:00 pm
Location: Fairfield Museum and History Center
Description: A Special Preview for Members Just in time for Memorial Day, Fairfield Museum presents an exhibit of dramatic World War II posters. Designed to galvanize public support, these posters cover topics such as the impact of ‘loose talk,’ the benefits of conservation and war production and the importance of purchasing war bonds. The artwork features some of the nation’s foremost artists of the time including Norman Rockwell and Jean Carlu.

As a special treat, students from Greens Farms Academy will be reading excerpts from wartime letters from the Fairfield Historical Society collections.
Fee: Free, for museum members only.

Memorial Day Picnic!

Description: After the parade continue the fun! Bring your blankets to the Fairfield Museum for an afternoon of games, food and shopping at our garden shed. There is even an opportunity to participate in creating a human flag! The museum will be free of charge to all who come. Please call 203-259-1598 if you'd like to participate in the human flag!
